Functional Art: for that Little Extra Touch…
I am especially fond of functional art being incorporated into everyday life. Designer Ito Morabito incorporates a style known as simplexity. A manufacturer of home appliances enlisted the services of Ito in creating a new collection. This pairing went on to create the Gorenje Ora-Ïto Collection, a stunning example of simplexity at its finest. I doubt Gorenje products are sold on our side of the pond but importing is always an option. Choices of colors are either Black or White, though during Milan Design Week a Carbon collection has been displayed. There really is no substitute for a good designer!
I’d love to do a renovation, my Kitchen is shamed!
The way an artist can take an everyday item and totally transform it into something special, will always fascinate me.
